What Makes This Cottage Special?

We truly aim to make your stay at the cottage a unique experience that you’ll cherish for years.  We hope you’ll come away from your holidays feeling relaxed, refreshed, and re-inspired.  That’s why we’ve taken care to furnish the cottage with an eclectic mix of interesting books & magazines, sketch pads & art supplies, games for all ages, and even a record player and a collection of old records.

 

In addition to fishing, swimming, and soaking up the sun, maybe you’ll discover some interesting music, or a book that you wouldn’t otherwise encounter. Perhaps your group will spend an evening playing games on the porch or singing songs around the campfire.  You may even be inspired to sketch...or paint...or write.  Of course, spending your time here just stretched out in a lounge chair overlooking the lake isn’t a bad option either!

 

While you’re re-charging your batteries, you’ll find this cottage provides the perfect balance between present-day comfort and nostalgic charm.  While it’s outfitted with modern kitchen appliances and new mattresses in every bedroom, many of the best features of the original cottage remain. From the vintage dishes and glassware, to the wicker furniture on the screen porch, to the rope swing in the old oak tree, staying at The Westport Cottage is like visiting another point in time. This is a truly an enchanting place to leave the world behind.
